With modern applications the culture, music and aesthetic of Anatolia which had been silent for thousands of years virtually wanted to cry out its glory and splendor to the world!

Nezih Ünen had no idea that he was embarking into such a huge project when he set out with his crew to Anatolia 7 years ago.
The only thing he had on his mind was to travel to Anatolia with a camera and microphone to record the folk songs which he planned to modernize. After he finished his tour, he was going to return to his studio in Istanbul and make a film and album that could bring the unique Anatolian music to modern life.
The results of the magnificent footage and music which were gathered with hard word from 2002 were shocking. With modern applications the different cultur, music and aesthetic of Anatolia which had been silent for thousands of years virtually wanted to cry out its glory and splendor to the world!

It was the first musical created from real life.

Seeing this, Nezih Ünen decided to delve into this Project even more in 2005 and again set out to Anatolia but this time with a much bigger crew. This was going to be a film like no other. The screenplay was going to be written by Anatolia itself and the soundtrack was going to be from Anatolia’s own folk without rehearsal. Later these songs would be edited with modern technology to create the first musical from real life.

After filming, Nezih Ünen noticed that as he was trying to shape the project, the project ended up shaping him.

He was so impressed by what he saw and lived in Anatolia than he wanted everyone to witness what he saw.
At this point he met Taha Altayli and his company, Galatafilm, decided to coproduce such a rewarding project.Galatafilm gave all help necessary for the release of this film, as one of the aims of its establishment is to preserve and protect the hidden treasures of Anatolia.
