Here she meets an old family friend Ahmed Khan. The implicit information Ahmed Khan gives her about her family and his uneasy movements make Azra more and more suspicious as the days go by. Azra decides to search for some information about her past; tracing the names Kadim and Salih who she has found out to be her uncles.
Every new person she meets and every new information she finds leads her to a new and more dangerous mystery. She starts to learn more about the war and the geography and the toll it took on the destiny of people through her own family’s secrets. When she finds out about her dark past, Azra’s journey, which she had started with an uncanny excitement as a single woman travelling alone to the Middle East, will come to an end with drama and sorrow which is not a distant feeling for societies that have survived a war.
